About us
For travelers who want to experience the Slovenian coast and Istria the way locals do — and for the small providers who make that possible — AdriaGuide is a carefully selected marketplace of authentic, small-scale local experiences: boat trips, wine tastings, cooking workshops, cycling and hiking tours, and farm visits, chosen from Koper to Piran and beyond.
Who is behind this
We are two founders from Koper. We know the region up close — the providers presented here are people we know personally, not entries from a call centre.
The site is small by design. We don't want a catalogue of ten thousand offers; we want a smaller number of experiences we can stand behind.
How we select
Experiences are selected against clear quality criteria:
- Small groups — an experience, not a mass tour.
- Led by locals who do the activity themselves.
- A clear price with no hidden costs.
- Real practical information: parking, access, season, what to bring.
How the inquiry works
No account, no upfront payment. The process is simple and personal:
- You choose an experience and send an inquiry.
- We forward the inquiry directly to the host.
- The host responds within 48 hours and agrees on a date with you.
- Details and payment are arranged directly with the host.
The process is manual for now — every inquiry passes through our hands. That means confirmation isn't instant, but it also means we know exactly who we're entrusting you to.
